The Top Menopause Challenges Women Faced in 2025, and What Actually Helped

Looking back over 2025, certain challenges cropped up again and again among the women I have worked with.

If you’ve been feeling misunderstood or as if you’re the only one, I hope this reassures you that you are absolutely not alone.

Here are the top menopause struggles of 2025, and what genuinely helped.

1. Unpredictable fatigue

So many of my clients came to me with monumental tiredness!

They described feeling exhausted by mid-afternoon and then struggling to get through the rest of the day without lots of caffeine, no matter how well they slept.

What helped: stabilising blood sugar, morning protein boosts, gentle movement, magnesium.

2. Sleep that suddenly disappeared

For many of my ladies, the real issue around sleep was staying asleep, rather than falling asleep.

What helped: a calming evening routine, early protein-rich dinners, nervous system support.

3. Bloating and digestive chaos

Bloating came up again and again, it is probably the most common issue that ladies come to me about. And it is often made worse by stress and irregular eating.

What helped: regular meal rhythms, slowing down at meals, chewing thoroughly, hydrated fibre, reducing grazing.

4. Sugar cravings that felt out of control

That almost desperate feeling of needing something to eat right now, preferably something sweet, was very common with my clients.

And let me reassure you, this is not about a lack of willpower, it’s physiology.

What helped: protein anchoring meals and snacks, pairing carbs with fats, avoiding long fasts, intentional eating.

5. Mood swings and anxiety spikes

Hormonal shifts made emotions feel more intense for many women, including myself!

What helped: grounding routines, balancing meals, reducing stimulants, building supportive daily rhythms.

How I can help …

The above solutions are examples of areas I work on with my clients in my signature programme, The FREEDOM Method.

Think calm, structure, nourishment, and support and accountability, and all of these applied to real women’s lives.
