What 2025 Taught Us About Menopause, Midlife Health, and Putting Ourselves First

With just 3 weeks of the year left, I’ve been reflecting on the women I’ve supported throughout 2025: their stories, their challenges, and their breakthroughs.

Every single woman came with her own unique experience, yet clear themes emerged again and again.

Here are the lessons that stood out most this year.

1. Women are still over-functioning … and under-supporting themselves

Midlife women often carry the emotional, logistical and invisible load for everyone. But your body feels every ounce of that pressure.

So many of my clients this year were pushing themselves too hard and expecting too much from themselves, and this massively affects hormones, cognition, sleep and metabolism.

2. Small consistent habits outperform big dramatic overhauls

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again! The women who experienced the biggest transformations didn’t do anything extreme. They simply learned to support their body daily. It really is the simple things that we do consistently that make the biggest difference.

3. Listening to symptoms early makes everything easier

So many women waited to ask for help and support until they were absolutely done in. When symptoms whisper rather than scream, that’s the moment with the most potential for change.

4. Food is information, not morality

We’ve made brilliant progress in shifting away from guilt and towards nourishment. When women view food as a way to support their body, everything becomes calmer.

5. Community and accountability were game-changers

No one thrives alone. Having a supportive structure, emotional and practical, was one of the biggest markers of success.

How this shaped The FREEDOM Method

These lessons have helped me to strengthen the foundations of The FREEDOM Method, my signature method that I have used to help and support many women this year, reinforcing exactly why personalised support, gentle habit-building and emotional safety matter so much.
